The earlier versions of Hair transplants used to involve the quicker and blind method of dissecting out the bit and naked eye method of dissecting it into grafts. As the follicles are very tiny and microscopic, lot of wastage used to occur in this process. With the advent of microscopic dissection of follicles and OPEN method of dissection using four hooks, the wastage of follicles is minimized. So the yield of follicles is more with OPEN method when compared to the Blind method of dissection. |
